Oh but its good to be using my brain again!

Its good to be back.

Today I checked out at Floyd College - I don't work there anymore. It was rather bittersweet- I have really enjoyed working with the faculty in particular, and I'm going to miss Tammy, Seth and Jeff a good deal (among others!) Floyd has a fine faculty, but..my brain rotted on that particular job. I don't know that much, but two and a half years of acting like I knew less than I really did has about killed me. lol

Tonight I got a call from Miami. I miss those late night calls. It makes me feel important when I get a call to support a team in the field. I've MISSED that.

I have a hard task to do - about 12 gigabytes of data to analyze, correlate and parse. I'm up all night, but if I pull this one off I know I'll get a good bonus. now that is something that you just don't get working for the educational system! I can sleep tomorrow. I have popcorn and a dvd....I just don't have any caffiene. Will I be able to continue my life without caffiene?

I've got 2 boxes set up and ready to go- both will be getting suse on them, which I know ZILCH about but will definitely be learning. I'm waiting on 2 keyboards to come in the mail. Jeez but it is hard to find a usb keyboard! WHY do I NEED a USB keyboard? Well, I have this little cat. I call her Miss Puss Puss but Sage calls her Miss Useless. Well Miss Useless Puss Puss has a water fetish. I know - strange for a cat. Well, she just had to spill my glass of water on my laptop keyboard the other night. She spills and plays in any water she comes across.

Everything works except the enter key. Great.

Anyway, I have a beer, movie, popcorn, and I have on my new reindeer slippers. I'm going to work.
