woah, outsourcing. I wrote wal-mart customer service to let them know I forgot to mail part of a 2 part cd, that I just put the other part in the mail to them. They answered me explaining how their mail was tracked and how their lists worked.

Here is their response:
(Notice how it does nothing to answer my mail, or to acknowlege vaguely what I was talking about.)

Dear Kristi,

Thank you for contacting Walmart.com about our DVD Rentals Service. Your
comments and questions are very important to us as we strive to meet
your needs. We extend our condolences to your family.

We are writing in response to your question about our DVD return and
delivery process. Once you mail your DVD back, the USPS starts tracking
the return envelope. When we receive information from USPS that the DVD
is in transit, the next title on your ?Your DVD List? is shipped to you.
When our processing center receives the return envelope, we remove the
title from the list of ?DVDs You Have Out.? Please be aware that USPS
tracking time and accuracy varies. If USPS does not track the return
envelope, we will ship the next title from ?Your DVD List? once we?ve
received your returned DVD at our processing center.

NOTE: Drop-off or pickup at a Wal-Mart store is not available at this
time.

I've been pretty overwhelmed lately. There's a lot to do when someone you are close to passes away, and the emotions have been crazier than anything else I've experienced. Its as life changing as having a child and as emotionally stricken as going through a divorce.

I've been trying to take care of my dad. I feel a lot better knowing where he is and that he is ok. I'm trying to help him make good decisions or to help him see that he needs to delay decisions for 6 months to a year.
In the last week I've read 3 books on dealing with the death of a spouse. My dad - he won't read and I don't really know what to do or what to tell him to make it better. Usually I'd turn to my mom to tell me how to deal with things like this.
I've made a small website - I hope to have the time and state of mind to work on it some more. Its not very pretty - but it has been incredibly hard to even do one thing to it at all.

As required by Nasdaq and as a public company, Ebay has to list phone numbers
for easy access to the public. Phone is 408-376-7400 and fax is 408-369-4855.
I don't like the new layout either...and if you own the company..you can
gripe to the board of directors, etc.....
