An Assortment of Random Stuff

You never know when some little bit of knowledge is going to be of use...

I spent all day long cleaning yesterday. Nothing like just throwing stuff away to help you clean up quick! I am a terrible pack rat.

I found my favorite cross pen though. Nothing writes better for me than a Cross Morph Pen. They have my vote for best pen anyday!

I'm going to do some more cooking today. I love to cook but Chip broke my stovetop. I really only have one eye left. One day I'll get the money to get it fixed. Guess someone else (like the irs) needs my money worse than I do.

Anyway, that leaves baking. Here's my favorite peanut butter recipe. If you use nutty peanut butter, the nuts all sink to the bottom of the pan. If you have a kid that loves Reece's, you might try putting chocolate icing on these things when cool. They are great that way too.

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
In 2-quart saucepan, melt the butter or margarine and peanut butter. (you can also do this carefully in the microwave.)

Remove from the heat; add all at once the sugar and flour; mix well. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Spread in a 13x9x2-inch baking pan that has been greased with oil or sprayed. Bake at 350 degrees for 28 to 32 minutes or until lightly browned and edges start to pull away from sides of pan. Cool 10 minutes on rack. Yield: 2 dozen.
